Sanmina is a leading technology company that provides end-to-end product development solutions to various customers. We are seeking a Principal Hardware Designer to join our design engineering group, which provides complete product development solutions from concept definition through to volume manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of optical transceivers, collaborating with a cross-functional product development team, and ensuring that the design meets customer specifications from concept to pre-production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analog and digital circuit design, layout, and mixed-signal designs, as well as experience with high-speed signal integrity, crosstalk, power noise, and loss soft start.
Additionally, the candidate should have strong laboratory optical and electrical measurement skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
The following are considered assets:
- Experience in RF design using modeling tools such as CST or HFSS.
- Experience of full previous optical transceiver design cycle.
- Familiarity with high-speed (RF) and optoelectronic devices: drivers, modulators, lasers, detectors, TIA, CDR/DSP and equalization.
- Work experience with optical components.
- Experience with optical transceiver test methodologies.
- Knowledge of various optical transceivers in CWDM and DWDM networks.
- Familiarity with industry standards including IEEE Ethernet standards, OIF standards and various MSAs.
