We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data and Research Analyst to join our Research and Analytics team within the Housing Division of the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting an integrated system view of Alberta's affordable housing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, compile, organize, analyze, and report on data to support the core functions of the division.
- Communicate with stakeholders to answer questions and complete Housing Needs Assessments to determine different housing needs across Alberta communities.
- Develop and implement research methods to identify complex issues and trends through data research.
- Provide evidence-based solutions or advice to senior leaders by analyzing information from various primary and secondary sources.
- Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with both short and long-term timelines.
- University degree in a related field (public policy, social sciences, public administration, economics, or other related discipline).
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in a research and/or policy environment.
- Experience in research, data collection, statistical analysis, and stakeholder relations, and project management is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Seniors, Community and Social Services processes and cross-ministry initiatives, as well as relevant legislation, regulations, policies, business plans and strategic initiatives of the department is considered an asset.
This is a temporary wage position for one (1) year, working 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
