Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement revenue-generating strategies and programs to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward philanthropic donations
Work closely with the AVP, Development & Campaigns, to identify and qualify prospects and to strategically cultivate and solicit prospects and donors
Develop strategies to promote loyal giving and to upgrade donor giving
Personally solicit gifts (both independently and in conjunction with senior administrators and senior fundraising volunteers)
Steward donors and execute on revenue-generating initiatives, external relations engagement, and stewardship activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
4 years of management experience, preferably in a unionized environment
Understanding of the needs and interests of major donors
Knowledge of tax laws that impact charitable giving, personal assets, and estates
Effective writing skills for a university fundraising environment
Ability to make highly effective/persuasive formal and informal cases of support presentations to diverse groups, large and small
