Job Title: Construction Laborer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Gordon N Gordon Interiors Ltd. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in the construction process, assisting skilled tradespersons and performing various tasks to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Operate hand and power tools, following safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, in their tasks and projects.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring the well-being of yourself and others on site.
  • Rake and collect refuse, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, as required.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding role, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, as well as work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Health care plan and permanent work term.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
