About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at ABS Collision Inc. as a Fabrication and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Production Line Management: Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.
