Job Title: Psychologist, CMH-Eating Disorder, FTT
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist to join our Child Mental Health department at North York General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and youth with Eating Disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient therapy in individual and group settings using a multi-modal approach, including Family Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), and CBT for ARFID.
- Consult with medical and mental health staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures relevant to the Eating Disorders Program.
- Develop and implement new therapeutic programs based on clinical needs.
- Participate in research, program evaluation, and quality assurance activities.
- Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field and provide education to hospital staff.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Psychology.
- Registered member in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Experience in various modes of individual and family therapy for children, youth, and families experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural problems.
- Experience with Eating Disorder treatment modalities.
- Related clinical experience in children's mental health agency or hospital setting.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
