Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to join our Payment Risk team at BMO Financial Group. This key position will report to the Head of Payment Risk within the North American Commercial Banking Operational Risk Oversight team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight, monitoring, and reporting on operational risks for a designated portfolio.
  • Develop and monitor the operational management framework, including governance frameworks and practices.
  • Design and implement policies, standards, methodologies, and controls to increase transparency, accuracy, and consistency across groups.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement the methodology, metrics, and program standards for the assigned portfolio.
  • Foster a culture aligned to BMO's purpose, values, and strategy, and model BMO values and behaviors in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational risk management practices, the designated business/product portfolio, regulatory requirements, and quantitative techniques.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence skills, and collaboration/team skills.
