We are seeking driven individuals to participate in our EH&S Practicum Program, located at our Fort Saskatchewan facility in Alberta, Canada. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working alongside our EH&S technicians within our four world-scale production units that manufacture hydrocarbons, ethylene, polyethylene, and electricity.
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, as well as current enrollment or completion of an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma Program. Reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential qualities for this role.
Responsibilities will include assisting in achieving facility EH&S goals, ensuring adequate application of EH&S aspects of facility operating discipline and management systems, implementing detailed EH&S programs, and coordinating environmental monitoring and data collection. The selected candidate will also be required to act as a resource for related EH&S information and actively coach teams on EH&S tasks and activities.
If selected, we anticipate a four-month commitment from May – August 2025. This opportunity does not offer travel reimbursement, and all candidates who receive a job offer will be required to pass a background check.
