About the Role

Razir Transport Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team for a Long Haul position. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics and Administration: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and adhering to all relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Be familiar with accident or incident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess long-haul transportation experience, with a strong understanding of national transportation routes and regulations.
  • Security and Safety: Undergo a criminal record check, driver's validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and a drug test.
  • Physical Capabilities: Be able to perform repetitive tasks, sit for extended periods, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organization, reliability, and a team player attitude.
