Senior Radiation Protection Specialist

WSP Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Radiation Protection Specialist to join our team in Port Hope, Ontario. As a key member of our Construction & Remediation group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our workforce and the surrounding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure gamma radiation fields and surface contamination using radiation detectors and swipe sampling.
  • Collect airborne monitor samples and manage personal dosimeters for the workforce.
  • Deploy airborne radiological monitors and ensure control and calibration of all radiation detection equipment.
  • Deliver training and coaching to site workers on radiation safety procedures.
  • Provide RP coverage to 1-10 site workers at any given time and summarize and analyze routine data for compilation into reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, radiation science, or health physics (or related field).
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience required.
  • Eligible for CNL Reliability Status clearance.
