About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at our Senneville, QC site. This is a hybrid role that offers the opportunity to work from home a few days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the transformation of our safety and health culture by providing interactive and practical leadership.
  • Participate in the standardization of safety and health programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with local government regulations, industry standards, and corporate directives.
  • Collaborate in the development and presentation of safety and health training for our regional personnel.
  • Support the development of safety and health communications and presentations.
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of incidents to identify root causes, corrective actions, and follow-up.
  • Conduct and participate in risk analyses, recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, and ensure the implementation of safe working methods (practical/ground-level approach).
  • Participate in safety and health committees/governance.
  • Classify various reports and provide health and safety statistics and performance results.
  • Improve the level of excellence and performance of our site's safety and health programs.
Key Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in safety and health or a related field (industrial hygiene knowledge an asset).
  • A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered as an acceptable substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-control, tact, diplomacy, teamwork, and collaboration.
  • Autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (English and French, written and spoken).
