Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a skilled QE Analyst to join our team. As a QE Analyst, you will be responsible for executing and tracking functional tests for various projects. Your objective is to ensure that our QE processes are well-defined, executed, and continually monitored.

  • Develop and maintain effective test cases using model-based approaches and test design techniques.
  • Responsible for automating assigned areas/feature using existing frameworks.
  • Provide daily status reports to the QE Lead/Manager on project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure functional/regression test suites are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Drive quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection and maximize test coverage.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Typically requires 2-4 years of QE-related experience.
  • Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management processes for application support and development.
  • Good knowledge of QE Processes, Methodologies, and Test Design techniques with hands-on experience on ALM, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving, design, and analytical skills with out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Good knowledge of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., SoapUI, Selenium, Appium, UFT/Lean UFT/RestAssured/Robot Framework, TestNG).

Nice-to-have:

  • QA-related certification (e.g., ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing).
  • Experience in Model-based testing and tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise, etc.
  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree/diploma or equivalent experience (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying).
  • Basic knowledge of industry practices with a focus on Agile, DevOps, environments, and test integration.
