A challenging opportunity to lead warehouse operations, ensuring seamless supply chain management and team supervision.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.

At UPS, we are seeking a skilled Distribution Supervisor II to oversee daily activities in our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for supervising employees who manage inbound flow, inventory control, and outbound flow activities.

About the Job

The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectively. They will also be responsible for scheduling work, managing vendors, participating in customer meetings, and identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Ensure the proper flow of goods into and out of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Team Supervision: Schedule and allocate work to employees, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain working relationships with suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Customer Engagement: Participate in customer meetings and leverage customer knowledge to identify new business development opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Accounting: Manage budgets, understand accounting processes, and determine needed resources.
  • Returns and Discrepancies: Ensure returns are checked and stocked, and investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies.
  • Employee Relations: Maintain employees' attendance records and ensure compliance with employment standards legislation.
  • Operations Improvement: Participate in improving the efficiency of warehouse operations and overseeing housekeeping, safety, security, and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse-related experience and supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Health and safety knowledge, regulatory compliance, supply chain and logistics knowledge, and Microsoft Office software proficiency.
