Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Operations Management
- Establish methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, and ensure that all necessary stock is ordered and received.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
- Customer Service
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Team Management
- Lead a team of 5-10 staff, including cooks, food service counter attendants, and food preparers, and provide guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in a food service environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Certifications and Licenses
- Food Safety Certificate.
- Personal Qualities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The role will also require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
