The Enterprise Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integration solutions that are effective, efficient, and secure. This role works closely with the business and other technical teams to understand integration requirements and implement solutions that enable and enhance SaskPower's business processes.
Key Accountabilities- Plan, research, develop, evaluate, and implement processes, policies, and procedures utilized for the development of strategies and business initiatives that address the organization's requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert in a specialized function to develop, implement, coach, and assist management staff in the administration and interpretation of corporate policies; providing advice that is appropriate, practical, and consistent with relevant legislation, regulations, laws, and/or industry standards.
- Identify new business solutions and operational efficiencies, while providing recommendations that have a significant impact on SaskPower's business operations and strategies.
- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects to provide functional expertise for corporate and departmental strategic planning initiatives.
- Represent the department and prepare and present material to internal and external audiences as required.
- Maintain knowledge of industry developments and best practices related to the area of specialization and adapt them to SaskPower's operational environment.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams and/or assigned staff as required.
- Strong understanding of software integration development principles and practices.
- Experience with eliciting business requirements and translating them to technical specifications.
- Sound knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices design principles and how to implement them.
- Proficiency in programming languages utilized in integration (i.e., JavaScript), APIs, middleware platforms, and data transformation.
- Experience in SOAP, WSDL, WS-Security, Java, JMS, XML, XSD, XSLT.
- Knowledge of network architecture and security principles.
- A solid understanding of application vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
- Experience supporting integrations with cloud and on-premise systems.
- Experience producing secure, excellent quality code.
- Understanding of OData Services and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
- Knowledge of implementing SSL.
- Knowledge using Oracle databases and SQL coding.
- Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, networking, usability, refactoring, testing, debugging, and configuration management.
- Ability to work with a team as well as independently to complete deliverables within established timelines.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships both internal and external to the organization.

- Experience as an effective Business Technology Platform (BTP) Developer, utilizing Integration Suite and the Cloud Application Programming model for building services and applications on SAP BTP.
- Experience in delivering successful TIBCO integration projects using TIBCO suite of products including TIBCO Enterprise Message Service, TIBCO Business Works, TIBCO Designer, TIBCO Administrator, TIBCO Policy Director, TIBCO Hawk, and TIBCO Adaptor.
- Expertise with integrations utilizing Microsoft Azure.
