About the Role

MR. GARBAGE CORP. is seeking a skilled Garbage Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for operating various vehicles and equipment to collect and transport waste to designated facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Waste Collection: Operate garbage trucks and other equipment to collect waste from various locations, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Reporting and Maintenance: Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in environments with odours, wet/damp conditions, and various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring ability to distinguish between colours, work under pressure, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check and wear steel-toed safety boots, gloves, and safety equipment/gear.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Ability to work as part of a team, be flexible, and adapt to changing situations.
Work Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with overtime required as needed.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including urban and rural areas.
