Job Summary

MR. GARBAGE CORP. is seeking a skilled Garbage Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating garbage trucks and equipment, ensuring efficient and effective waste collection services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Safely operate garbage trucks and other equipment to collect and transport waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check, lubricate, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Work Environment

As a Garbage Truck Driver, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be exposed to odors, wet/damp conditions, and may be required to work in various locations.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to distinguish between colors, physically demanding work, and occasional overtime required.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing work schedules and environments.
  • Environmental Awareness: Understanding of the importance of environmental sustainability and waste management.
Working Conditions

As a Garbage Truck Driver, you will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and wear steel-toed safety boots and safety equipment/gear. You will also be required to work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment.

Language and Work Hours

The primary language of work is English, and you will be required to work 40 hours per week. This is a permanent position with a green job designation, involving duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
