Technical Leadership Manager for IT Infrastructure

The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) is one of the largest school boards in western Canada, serving over 131,000 students and 15,000 employees. Its mission is to provide a foundation of learning necessary for students to thrive in life, work, and continued education.
This leadership role provides strategic direction, management expertise, and policy guidance to align information technology strategies with the CBE's purpose, mission, values, and education plan.
Key responsibilities include:
Client Technology Strategy- Create, resource, and execute the CBE's Client Hardware and Software Technology Management Strategy.
- Lead Client Technology Services teams.
- Engage senior leaders on educational and client-facing technology trends and developments.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Act as key contact for School Improvement service units regarding end-user technology.
- Represent the CBE with Alberta Education technology teams.
- Participate in strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring.
Client Hardware and Software Management Strategy
- Collaborate with superintendents and directors to establish technology resourcing needs and strategies.
- Develop objectives for client-facing technology hardware and software strategies.
- Lead program and budget development in support of the CBE's technology strategy.
Operational Client Technology Support Services
- Lead, direct, and monitor Client Technology team actions and activities.
- Direct procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of client devices.
Client Technology Design and Standards Team
- Establish and lead the deployment of software resources.
- Direct deployment of client-facing technology resources across schools and areas.
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
