IT Infrastructure Manager

Burnco Rock Products Ltd is a leading supplier of aggregate construction materials in Canada and the US. With over a century of experience, we're seeking a skilled Systems Admin Lead to join our evolving IT team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our critical server infrastructure across North America. This involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of our servers.
Key Responsibilities:- Server Administration and Maintenance: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot server hardware and software.
- System Monitoring and Optimization: Proactively monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Incident Response and Resolution: Quickly diagnose and resolve server-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Security and Patch Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures for server infrastructure, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access controls.
- Capacity Planning and Upgrades: Forecast future server capacity needs, plan and execute server upgrades, and ensure scalability to meet growing business demands.
- Technical Mastery: Possess in-depth knowledge of server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and hardware platforms.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
- Automation and Scripting: Leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline server management tasks and improve efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in server administration or a related role.
- 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring a team of system administrators.
