Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher Assistant to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment, and utensils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, rinse, and load the dishwasher, ensuring all items are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Examine completed loads for cleanliness and re-wash if necessary.
  • Report any malfunctions, breakage, or discrepancies to the appropriate manager.
  • Store all clean items in the designated area.
  • Sort and remove garbage and recycling.
  • Clean all general kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and workspaces.
  • Assist with the receipt of goods into the work area and stock shelves.
  • Prepare food products as requested.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments.
  • Develop strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 6 months of work experience.
  • Food Safety Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming License.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

  • Regular kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending.
