About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Maintenance Worker to join our team at Young Fellas Construction Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
    • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent litter and maintain hygiene.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance
    • Operate various equipment, including industrial vacuum cleaners, to perform tasks efficiently.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking and replacing filters, to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Task Completion and Reporting
    • Complete tasks assigned by supervisors in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Report any issues or concerns related to equipment, facilities, or site conditions to supervisors.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues that may arise.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience is essential.
      • Will train on the job to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge.
    • Work Environment and Conditions
      • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions.
      • May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, or in areas with hazardous materials.
    • Language and Communication
      • English is the primary language used in the workplace.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
    • Work Hours and Schedule
      • Work 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
      • Flexible scheduling may be necessary to meet the needs of the business.
