Job Summary

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Designated Early Childhood Educator. This is a temporary assignment position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing early learning programs in a Catholic classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Catholic classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning program that supports faith initiatives.
  • Provide supervision and age-appropriate Catholic programming for groups of students.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and the community to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • A two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma and proof of registration with The College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Minimum of six months' experience in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Education full-day early learning program and related legislation.
