Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

At Ontario Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
  • Authorize payments, order merchandise, and manage inventory to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that our customers have access to the products they need
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that our store is staffed appropriately at all times
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform our business decisions
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our sales staff, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback and coaching

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time
