We're seeking a Senior Designer to join our team at Critical Mass. As a Senior Designer, you'll play a key role in bringing new product pages to life by collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch new product landing pages for our clients' site.

This team is focused on creating considered and elegant design solutions for our clients' homepage and other platforms. You'll work closely with the creative and tech disciplines to create original designs that align to project goals and overall creative direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create original designs that meet project goals and creative direction
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, ACDs, and project teams to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts
  • Prepare for creative reviews by outputting optimized files and presentation materials
  • Guide ideas to meet creative and business goals within project scope
  • Present design rationale for project creative solutions
  • Consult with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within given limitations
  • Review final deliverables with an exacting eye

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-10 years experience in visual design for web, mobile, and/or app design
  • High proficiency in formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative workplace and deliver quality design at a high volume
  • Familiarity with HTML and comfortability using authoring tools through templates and assets
  • Photoshop expertise, including organizing files for design iteration and setting up files for web production
  • Reliable judgment and initiative to collaborate with others to find solutions
  • Passion for nurturing relationships, mentoring, and rallying teams to align around a vision
  • Ability to articulate ideas and communicate clearly with creative, project management, and development staff
  • Clear communication and presentation skills that speak to both creative and technical audiences
  • Prototyping ability to convey preferred states, motion, and/or behaviors for interactive concepts
  • Strong understanding of web development, including HTML, CSS, iOS, and other technologies
  • Experience with digital creative tools, including Sketch, Figma, Principle, Adobe Creative Suite, Powerpoint, and Keynote
