What is the opportunity?

As a key member of Royal Bank of Canada's Wealth Management Services team, you will work closely with Investment Advisors to provide expert consulting services to their clients. This involves collaborating with clients to understand their estate planning needs and developing comprehensive strategies to meet those needs. You will also work with advisors to identify opportunities for growth and development, and to implement solutions that meet the needs of their clients.

What will you do?

  • Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand their estate planning goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement comprehensive estate planning strategies for clients
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation, policy, and risk management issues
  • Identify opportunities for growth and development, and implement solutions to meet client needs
  • Foster a collaborative working environment across the Wealth Management Services team
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of client interactions and results

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • A Canadian law degree and membership in a Canadian bar association
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in estate planning, with advanced knowledge of Canadian legislation and tax rules
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Nice to have:

  • Bilingual Mandarin/Cantonese or French
  • Estate and trust experience
  • Knowledge of insurance planning and solutions
  • STEP membership
