Building Inspector Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Inspector Specialist to join our team at the City Of Windsor.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have an Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma plus (3) years of post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent. They must also hold Provincial Qualifications from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs in various disciplines, including General Legal and CBO Legal.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting buildings and properties regulated under the Ontario Building Code, ensuring compliance with approved plans, standards, and legislation. This includes inspecting construction and demolition sites, monitoring ground and wall signs, and organizing workload documentation.
Other key responsibilities include providing instruction to contractors and architects, reviewing plans and specifications, verifying site conditions, and investigating complaints.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

- Valid Class 'G' Driver's License
