We are seeking a Summer Agronomy Intern to work and learn with our team of talented Agronomists who serve our customers in West Central Saskatchewan. This position will provide an intensive and practical experience, where you will spend 95% of your time in the field learning applied Precision Agronomy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand/establishment, herbicide timing/efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
  • Perform plant stand counts & VR crop assessments.
  • Perform research trial analysis and data collection.
  • Participate and help organize Max Ag crop tours, as well as attend industry agronomy and product tours throughout the summer.
  • This person will work in conjunction with an experienced Agronomist to convey key information from the field.

Skills and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education. Agriculture is preferred, but not required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Duties will require independent work within a team atmosphere.
  • Willingness to work in an outdoor setting, along with overtime as needed during peak season.
  • Strong communication skills are a must for this role.
