Medical Coordinator

At Vancouver Coastal Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Coordinator - Site Director to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, leading a team of medical professionals and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Foster collaborative working relationships with medical staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to medical staff, promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement effective performance management processes for medical staff, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with operational administrative support to coordinate medical staff work schedules and on-call rotations.
- Represent VCH and advocate for the work of the Primary Care team in internal and external settings.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (for physicians) or the BC College of Nursing and Midwives (for nurse practitioners).
- Proven track record in clinical practice and medical leadership experience within a large health organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
