Seeking a Senior Medical Imaging Physicist to join our team at Alberta Health Services in Edmonton, Canada.

About the Role

This leadership position is responsible for supporting clinical services, quality assurance, commissioning, and development of new techniques and protocols in Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography imaging.

The successful candidate will ensure high standards for imaging policies, processes, procedures, and systems for service delivery to patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent in Medical Physics or Medical Health Physics.
  • Certified or eligible for certification by the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM), American Board of Radiology (ABR), American Board Medical Physicist (ABMP), or American Academy of Health Physics (AAHP).
  • Minimum of two years' experience in imaging and physics aspects of x-ray.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in imaging and clinical physics aspects of Nuclear Medicine (NM) and/or Positron Emission Tomography (PET).

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.

In addition to the salary, the successful candidate will have the opportunity for a concurrent University of Alberta appointment and access to research opportunities.
