We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Leaside Daycare Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education
    • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth and progress.
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Supervision and Support
    • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the daycare centre.
    • Provide guidance and support to early childhood educators and assistants to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers to ensure a comprehensive and supportive environment for children.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Order supplies and equipment to ensure a well-stocked and organized daycare centre.
    • Assist with record-keeping and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of licensing regulations and child development principles.
