Mechanical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technologist to join our team at Associated Engineering. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering technology and experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) of mechanical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and draft mechanical infrastructure, including pumping/piping systems and equipment, using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed designs, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design compliance and quality assurance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in CADD and BIM technologies.
- Diploma in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Eligible for professional registration with ASET.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in CADD of mechanical infrastructure.
- Proficiency with latest versions of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Familiarity with 3D design/building information modeling (BIM) using Revit OneBox or Revit MEP is an asset.
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Trimble SketchUp is an asset.
- Familiarity with ANSI/ASME/AWWA piping codes and other applicable design codes and best practices.
- Experience with design and drafting of process and building mechanical infrastructure, such as HVAC and plumbing.
- Experience with design and drafting of civil infrastructure utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience working for a consulting engineering firm, including multi-discipline design compliance with drafting standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Field experience is an asset.
