Security Operations Manager

Job Overview
Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Manager to oversee the security operations at 15, 16 York Street in Downtown Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement coaching skills to drive engagement and improve performance.
- Conduct monthly meetings with Lead Hands to discuss progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with the Manager to implement new technologies and improve service efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and identify and execute action items to close compliance gaps.
- Supervise all aspects of security operations, including monitoring dress and deportment, and handling sensitive situations.
- Maintain currency of knowledge in security systems, equipment, and techniques, and schedule daily activities to ensure qualified coverage.
- Investigate tenant complaints, thefts, and suspicious activities, and provide feedback to tenants and the Manager.
- Mediate internal staff conflicts, provide evaluations and recommendations, and interview, hire, and discipline staff as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience, technical, and interpersonal skills of the same caliber as a Security Supervisor.
- A community college diploma or equivalent business management qualification in a security/life safety, risk management, or criminology-related discipline.
- Three years of working in a commercial real estate security environment, with increasing responsibility.
- One year of security supervisory experience, ideally at a property of comparable complexity.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License, Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification, and Covid-19 vaccination.
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations, and excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
