Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at Entrepreneur Paysagistes Strathmore Landscape (1997) LTEE. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our properties and landscapes are well-maintained and look their best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns to the highest standard
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep our properties clean and free of debris
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance our landscapes
  • Lay sod or seed to create lush and vibrant lawns
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add colour and beauty to our properties
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the care they need
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working order
  • Shovel ice and snow from track switch boxes to ensure safe and clear access
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour in a variety of weather conditions
  • Availability for shift or on-call work
  • Availability for the advertised start date
  • Current legal ability to work in Canada
  • Current residence in proximity to the advertised location
  • Previous experience in this field of employment
Working Conditions:
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English or French language proficiency
  • Seasonal work term
