Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed layouts and measurements for building projects, adhering to strict building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Coordinate and schedule work on-site, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Train and mentor apprentices in the art of woodworking.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various industries.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Permanent employment with a 30-hour workweek.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
