Job Title: Woodworking Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at HYGGE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT INC. As a Woodworking Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the trade
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and handling heavy loads
