Position Overview

Sentry Fire Protection is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Protection Sprinkler Installer to join our team. This permanent position offers a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week and requires a commitment to quality and safety in all aspects of fire protection installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and secure sprinkler heads and pipes in designated supports.
  • Measure, cut, ream, and thread piping as per specifications.
  • Organize and schedule necessary materials, tools, and personnel for efficient workflow.
  • Connect piping systems to various water sources, including mains and supply tanks.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to install supports, clamps, brackets, and hangers for the piping system.
  • Install valves, alarms, and other essential fire protection equipment.
  • Join piping sections using soldering and welding techniques.
  • Conduct servicing and repairs on existing sprinkler systems.
  • Perform leak tests using air or liquid pressure equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of pipe units and fittings.
  • Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings for pipe installation.
  • Install control systems, valves, and additional piping as required.
  • Measure and shape pipes to meet project specifications.
  • Replace worn components and reactivate systems as necessary.
  • Select appropriate pipe types and sizes for various applications.
  • Conduct thorough leak tests using specialized testing equipment.
  • Fabricate piping sections through welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings accurately.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Sprinkler System Installer Trade Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
Work Environment
  • This role involves travel and working on the road.
