About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team at LASTA CAFE LTD. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality baked goods, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice to customers on merchandise and assist in the display of products
  • Greet customers and discuss their needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, and ensure that products meet established standards
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Operate machinery and equipment to prepare baked goods and other products
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, ensuring maximum visibility and appeal
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
