Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Compass Group Canada.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that high-quality food and exceptional customer service are delivered to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet business needs
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Prepare and submit reports on food costs, inventory, and customer feedback
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and ensure that food is prepared to meet customer expectations
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer feedback
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. hospitality, culinary arts)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
