Job Title: Part Time Preschool Instructor

The Corporation of the Town of Ajax is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part Time Preschool Instructor to join our team. As a Preschool Instructor, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing high-quality preschool programs for children aged 3-5 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging and educational preschool programs that meet the needs of the community.
  • Lead a team of preschool assistants and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
  • Collaborate with the Community Recreation Coordinator to develop and implement program plans that align with corporate philosophies and policies.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for children and staff, promoting positive behavior and social skills.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, public, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive program experience.
Qualifications:
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the delivery of recreational programs.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive, confident, and approachable.
What We Offer:
  • Rate of Pay: $22.97 - $24.97 per hour.
  • Hours of Work: Up to 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday, various shifts.
