Job Summary

BBA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead to support our continued growth in Western Canada. The selected candidate will play a key role in all phases of engineering projects from front-end studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailed engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets, and proposals.
  • Perform high-level engineering on major mechanical packages such as crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits, and dewatering.
  • Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering.
  • Be a key team member for small to major brownfield/greenfield mining projects.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching of junior/intermediate engineers.
  • Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high-quality professional deliverables.
Requirements
  • Proven track record with strong technical skills as a Mechanical Engineer on mineral process plant projects.
  • Experience in base and precious metals.
  • Ability to interpret PFDs and process design criteria from process engineering.
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector.
  • Must be registered in Canada.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Available for site work and short-term assignments.

BBA considers many factors to determine the annual base salary, such as location, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications, and other relevant competencies.
