Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PR Pomeroy Restoration & Construction (BC) Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs for building projects, using measuring tools and software.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and efficient interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:

Our team works in various locations, including construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial settings. As a Carpenter, you will be required to work at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors.

  • Hand tools and power tools.
