  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, transporting goods and materials.
  • Oversee vehicle condition, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods, ensuring accurate transactions.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Physical stamina to withstand the demands of long-haul truck driving.
