Manufacturing Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Director to join our team at VPC Group Inc. This role is responsible for leading the manufacturing operations of our production facility in Canada, ensuring efficient and effective production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance and Replacement: Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules to ensure optimal production efficiency and recommend replacement of machines as needed.
  • Quality Control: Direct quality control inspections to ensure products meet our quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, supervise, and train employees in the use of new equipment and production techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Process Improvement: Plan and implement changes to machinery, equipment, production systems, and methods of work to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Departmental Budget: Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Daily Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure smooth production and meet quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a production management role.
  • Industry Experience: Furniture and fixtures industry.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, judgement, organized, reliable, team player, and values and ethics.

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
