Job Overview

Christopher Canete seeks a skilled Child Caregiver to provide top-notch care and support for children in a family setting. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of the children.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home environment.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their basic needs are met.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and respect.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, teaching them essential life skills.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, ensuring the children's well-being and safety.
  • Organize activities such as games, outings, and educational programs to stimulate their minds and creativity.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and a balanced diet.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing one-on-one attention and support when needed.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their transportation and logistics needs are met.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing comfort, empathy, and support during challenging times.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Criminal record check is required.
  • Public transportation is available for errands and appointments.
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, time management, patience, and honesty are essential qualities for this role.
