Job Title: Child Caregiver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Caregiver to join our team at Christopher Canete. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting positive behavior and development.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, helping them to become confident and independent individuals.
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, providing opportunities for socialization and fun.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring children receive a balanced diet.
  • Supervise and care for children, providing a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing comfort and support when needed.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, time management, patience, and honesty.

Work Setting: Employer's home, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.

Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation available.

Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, time management, patience, and honesty.
