Carpentry Specialist

Gill Concrete Pumping Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes. You will also be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. Additionally, you will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. You will also fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and supervise other workers. You will estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThis role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as handling heavy loads. It is a physically demanding role.
