About Us
The First Nations Health Authority is a leading health organization that prioritizes the well-being of Indigenous communities. We are committed to creating opportunities for Indigenous students and new graduates to gain valuable work experience and develop their professional skills.
Program Overview
The Indigenous Student Program is a 4-month internship that provides students with the opportunity to work with our team and gain exposure to First Nations healthcare. Our goal is to match students' education, skills, and career goals with the needs of the FNHA and First Nations communities.
Eligibility
- Indigenous students or new graduates from First Nations, Inuit, or Métis backgrounds
- Residency in British Columbia during the program
- Recent high-school graduate, enrollment in a post-secondary school, or recent graduate from a post-secondary institute
What We Offer
As a participant in the Indigenous Student Program, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team, develop your skills, and gain valuable experience in First Nations healthcare. You will also have access to our San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and be part of a wellness-focused organization.
