About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of retail professionals in a fast-paced environment. As an Assistant Store Manager with the Government of Canada - Western, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and that sales goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence
- Direct and control daily store operations to ensure a positive customer experience
- Evaluate store performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a team of retail staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
- Assign duties and responsibilities to team members to ensure effective use of resources
- Customer Service
- Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and support
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Merchandising and Inventory
- Plan and implement visual merchandising displays to drive sales and improve customer engagement
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that stock is adequate and that products are rotated regularly
- Financial Management
- Monitor and control store expenses to ensure that they are within budget
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and revenue
Requirements
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- or equivalent experience
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work at the physical location of the store.
