Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the College of the North Atlantic. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children and providing a nurturing environment that fosters their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that cater to the diverse needs of children from birth to age six.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students during field practice and lab components of relevant Early Childhood Education courses.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • Must have completed the required coursework to be in possession of, or eligible for, Level I Certification through the Association of Early Childhood Educators Newfoundland and Labrador (AECENL).
  • Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and legislation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
