Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to obtain high-quality images for patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out the technical flow of work and participate in the daily departmental quality assurance program.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and departments to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Operate and maintain MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for patient diagnosis.
  • Optimize image quality and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Diploma (Degree) in radiography from an accredited institution.
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
  • Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and adjust to new or unexpected events.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Proven attendance record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OAMRT).
  • Minimum 3 years of magnetic resonance experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience working on both 1.5 and 3T systems and equipment.
  • Ability to speak a second language.
